  EDI - Electronic Data Interchange

The exchange of inter-company business forms in a standard format, EDI allows your company to transfer orders between customers and vendors. EDI drastically cuts the time spent preparing and tracking orders and because EDI is all electronic, you save on paper use as well. The CRIBWARE integration of EDI allows you to electronically send orders to vendors. When vendors receive the order it is processed and shipped to the customer.


The basic process of EDI is fairly simple. Once your stock is low you generate a Purchase Order. You press a button on the purchase order screen that sends the to the vendor in the form of an EDI file through a standard modem. The PO is received, processed electronically and items shipped from vendor to customer almost automatically.
