Advanced Inventory Management

A basic building block in all CRIBWARE systems, maintaining all your item information and inventory balances.

CRIBWARE provides powerful inventory management software features to help you efficiently and effectively manage all materials. Ensuring the accuracy of your inventory levels and accounting for unique changes to stock dramatically improves your inventory control.

Stock Transfer

With the CRIBWARE Stock Transfer function, you can move as many items from as many places (and to as many locations) as you wish at any given time. If there are multiple storage zones in the locations, you can specify the specific source and destination zone (drawer, bin, isle, shelf, etc.) Items can be added to the inventory transfer list manually or you can generate a list based on the restock levels of the destination location.

Complete: This is a one-step transfer method. Once the item list is built and the source and destination are designated, the user processes the transfer. The source’s On-Hand quantity immediately decreases and the destination On-Hand quantity increases. No In Transit quantity is reported and the transfer is complete.

Two Part Send/Receive: This is a two-step method of moving materials. Once the item list is built and the Send transaction is completed, it removes the material from the source location, decreasing the On-Hand quantity, but the In Transit quantity for the destination location increases. When the material arrives at the destination, it is received using the Receive function. This increases the On-Hand quantity for the destination, and decreases the In-Transit quantity. The transfer is complete.

Stock Transfer has two methods of moving materials: Complete or Send and Receive.

Inventory Adjustment and Cycle Counting

Inventory audits and verification are an important part of managing your inventory and can uncover discrepancies, indicating human error, process problems, or shrinkage. All of these things cost your organization money. The CRIBWARE Inventory Adjustment module provides the ability to easily and systematically find inventory errors and adjust the inventory to correct levels, capturing all adjustments for reporting purposes.

Manual Adjustment

Human errors and process errors occur. Use the Manual Adjustment function to perform periodic or scheduled inventory activities to reconcile your physical inventory with the CRIBWARE stated inventory. You simply enter a range of items by Item ID or Bin Location and the system generates a list of items in bin order. Item labels and Bin Location labels can be printed for the selected items during the inventory
activity.

Cycle Counting

Physical inventories can be reduced using regular cycle counting, which require fewer workers and less time to complete. Cycle counting can be done daily, weekly or monthly. This makes the task less daunting than having to count every item at one time. Using CRIBWARE Cycle Counting, enter a range of items by item number or Bin Location, select how many of the items you wanted counted, and the system generates a list of items in bin order. Item labels and Bin Location labels can be printed for the selected items during the inventory activity.

Add Items

Define new storage locations for items using the Add Item to Bins function. This technique for setting up a new location, improves efficiency and accuracy of bin definitions. Select a from a list of items to assign to a new storage area or crib.

Features

  • Transaction records for all inventory adjustments; and record all items that did not require adjustment

Kitting and Assembly Control

The Kit/Assembly module allows the grouping of items into kits and assemblies. This grouping is used for:

  • Tracking, assigning, or storing items as a single item number,
  • Planning usage and referring to the group by one item number,
  • Reserving tooling and other items when assigned to assemblies,
  • Easy, quick Check out or Check in by a single part number, when issuing or returning tooling.
